In keeping with today’s theme of music, I bring the sad news of the passing of a jazz great, Joe Zawinul. Zawinul is famous for playing with the band Weather Report and writing the Cannonball Adderly song, Mercy, Mercy, Mercy. He was 75 and died of cancer in his native country, Austria.
